[OpenTRV-dev] Dynamic Demand

No, because I think that is a perverse *waste* of energy/exergy and indeed unethical IMHO even if generally legal (ignoring flicker rules).

Our tech is doing some of the same stuff to "smear" a householder's existing energy demand over a longer than usual period if necessary to match their solar PV generation, automatically.

I wouldn't claim that the tech is new; it's the application and the sales channel that at least a couple of the judges seemed to think was right on the button; we may have indeed been borderline for funding though the eventual competition was pretty strong.

I doubt that I now have the bandwidth to commercialise this DD project while trying to get OpenTRV through trial this winter.

There is some potential there though to bring money into the project, eg with other grants and sales, so while I'll keep the tech public I might just hold the business proposition closer to my chest for the moment to see if I can mobilise that.
