Q:

So it would not be stupid of me to go get an pi and the pi expansion from 
OEM?

will be playing arround on how i can use an OpenTRV so talk to my heat 
meter... think its chaper to mod that than going for an EmonTX

Hi Bo,

I don't see any fundamental difficulties in getting the OpenTRV to
transmit OEM packets. Unfortunately I've struggled to find time to get it
up and running recently but it shouldn't be too far off.

I'll keep you updated on progress.
