Right, but also effectively very limited shared bandwidth and possibly no go for commercial applications (eg esp encrypted data).

Would be interesting to adapt an OpenTRV unit to talk to that network but maybe not for this project.

Would I think be BAD to squirt stuff in a different format over the top and wipe out their usage.
