Hi
For the trial run many many parts of the system cost far more than they would as productised. What I don’t have is a huge workshop or great hand-crafting skills, so paying somewhat over the odds for something that (a) we can easily adjust in the way we have already through several revisions, and (b) that I do not have to attack with various tools, is probably money well spent.

I’d prefer to spend £5 per box for at least the first main run of 30–40, and decide what to do thereafter, ie if we do an extended trial run on an additional 100. I do not want to spend 2h on printing each of those boxes taking time off work to do so for example (or make Bo do them!).
PS. With luck our STL or OpenSCAD models can go to an injection moulding place for fairly easy adaptation or use as-is.
I believe there are some low-volume shops designed for prototyping; 100-off would presumably be a viable (or even large) order for them. Anyone know where the tipping point is likely to be? I'm assuming the current solid models can be re-used.
