Well, commercially viable is not necessarily the same as developer-friendly, but I think we should be able to keep to a reasonable middle ground, yes.

Eg lowest retail cost (eg where you can get masks preprogrammed for runs of 10,000+ and amortise costs of expensive kits over long production runs) is not always home-fiddler friendly!
