look at rev 2 in svn.... that is how it is now.... TMP on a breakout in same spot as before.... thats the only change i did plus i moved USB plug 0.7mm closer to edge as i messured it was 0.7 from edge...
been thinking like mad how we could keep TMP and still justify sub board....:
1. move LED to mainboard between boiler terminal and socket for sub board... with some luck legs on LED is long enough for it to be able to sit just under lid... or maybe even stick though lid
2. use one common GND on subboard
3. Move switches further apart so they are more easy to use..... the instuctions are clear enough... even tina who know nothing about our project in this matter clearly understand the 2 buttoms from what mark have written.. but i agree they are a bit close...
4. move TMP to subboard and have ITEAD stuff subboard with it
LDR could be placed between switches...
Reason i came to this:
1. programming is still the same
2. makes life much more easy for us
3. box design can be the same except for lid... lid will just need and hole extra... and as we dont have holes for switches yet i guess its not a major change anyway
its a compromise yes.... but i think its a good one....
i have put this out to the list in hope of some input what else could be done.... me and damon have talked a lot... moving the switches to the board... etc etc....
AND does ANYBODY know a suitable replacement for TMP112? as close to same spec as possible
/bo
