True but that's only 1 TRV. If I add up the whole system for my home (10
radiators), I come close to £800 so even assuming it makes a dent to my gas
bill, I'd still hesitate to buy it.

Of course that's exactly what we're planning to do with OpenTRV but if we
can get to a price closer to £20 per TRV so that an average home can be
equipped for £200 to £300, we'd get to a price point where it looks likely
that even if it doesn't save you as much as it says on the tin, it's likely
to save enough to make it worth buying.
