[OpenTRV-dev] Existing microwatt--milliwatt modular IoT kit?

looking at the pdf of how a shelfter looks like....
thoughts:
use the chicago hardware but modded to use hopeRF modules to do a mesh
network - But if distance becomes to great maybe add one with cell modem -
or if there is line of sight use directional antenna's to bridge the groups
mod the case so that it can be bolted on the post with the stop sign on top
- on outside on one side of the post just a fat plate of steel with bolt
holes in each end... the bolts go inside the case and yet another fat plate
of steel and 2 nuts.... easy to mount... reasonble hard to get down... of
course the case can be smashed but then the value of the thing is nill....
it could be mounted high and angled down wards so its hard to get at
but the main this is to just aim it at the middle section of the
shelter....
not sure how well it will work in real life but seems plausible
